Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find a Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Kiosk?
There are over 4,500 kiosks across the country in various retailers. To find a Kiosk near you, please visit our Kiosk Locator page.
What is the difference between each of the 14 Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotics?
The Footmapping® technology in our Kiosks assesses multiple parameters of your feet – including your arch type, foot pressure, and foot size – in order to recommend the Custom Fit® Number that’s right for you. Your recommended Custom Fit® Orthotics have a customized cushioning layer to disperse your foot pressure and a customized Cradleflex® support system designed for your arch type and placed optimally for your foot size.
The kiosk gave me recommendations for different Custom Fit® Orthotics. Which one should I buy?
In order to get an accurate scan, please remember to keep your feet in the footprint areas and flat during the scans. When you lean forward, your hips should be in front of your feet. If you are following the foot scanning directions correctly and are still getting different recommendations, it is possible that your feet characteristics are in between two Custom Fit® Numbers (for example, you might get a measurement of CF120 and CF220). Both products would be suitable solutions for you. If you get a different 2nd measurement, we recommend going through the analysis a 3rd time and getting the Custom Fit® number which was recommended 2 out of 3 times.
How long does it take to get a Custom Fit Orthotics recommendation on the Kiosk?
It will take approximately 2 minutes for the kiosk to give a customized product recommendation.
Can anyone use the Custom Fit® Kiosk?
Custom Fit® Orthotics were designed for most adults. The kiosk is not designed to offer recommendations for those with a shoe size smaller than 3 or larger than 14 and for those who weigh less than 70lbs or more than 400lbs. The kiosk is not recommended for children.
What type of shoe does Custom Fit® Orthotics fit in?
The inserts are designed to fit many shoes (sneakers, casual shoes, work shoes), but they may be too thick or wide to fit in snug-fitting shoes as they are built with substantial arch support and ample cushioning for pain relief and comfort.
How long do Custom Fit® Orthotics last? How often should I replace them?
Custom Fit® Orthotics are made with highly durable materials. Under normal use, we expect the Orthotics to last a year. If you use the inserts frequently, we recommend replacing them every six months or at the first signs of wear.
How do I place Custom Fit® Orthotics in my shoes? Should I remove my shoe insoles first?
Place your inserts on top of any existing shoe insole. They are 3/4 length so no trimming is required and they have wider sides to easily lock in place in the shoe. On the bottom of the insert you will find an “L” and “R” to indicate which inserts to place in your left and right shoes. The heel cushion should be placed in the back of your shoe. The fabric with the Dr. Scholl’s logo should face up.
Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
Our Custom Fit® Orthotics are backed with a 90-day Money Back Guarantee. Please see our Money Back Guarantee page for details.
Who should I call if I have questions or concerns about the kiosk or product?
If you have any questions or need help with the kiosk, please contact Consumer Relations at 1-866-360-3226.
